On Saturday we had a graduation party for my niece Destiny. She will be graduating next Saturday. She is getting more beautiful everyday!!
Mom presented her with a book that was full of words of wisdom from all of the family.

We did something new this year that I hope will become a Christmas tradition. We got together with Jon's brother, sister, and cousins and thier granddad. Korinne (Jon's cousin) set the whole thing up and we had it at her house. It was so nice to get to spend some time with family that we don't get to see very often.

We played "Dirty Santa" where everyone brings a gift, some good some bad, and you open and swap based on what number you draw. Bobby ended up with a coffee gift card.

Shanna and I ended up with matching recycled bath sets.We stayed the night at Korinne and Andy's house. When we went to our room we noticed that Korinne really had thought of everything. Adorable!!

Christmas in Cookeville

We started a new tradition this year with our neice Chloe. We are going to get an ornament for her each year and let her open it and put it on the tree before Christmas. I had an aunt who did this for me and it was always so exciting to get my new ornament. This year we had to catch up since she is already 3. Here she is putting them on the tree.

Jon started a gag gift with Bob last year by giving him a tacky sweater that he had worn to a party. This year Bob got him back by giving him stuff from around the house - a can of soup, some undershirts that were not even his size, and some Tylenol.

Christmas morning was at Mom and Hilton's house. We opened presents and then had a delicious lunch.

Ember turned one on December 15th. She had fun trying to open her gifts. She did not have fun wearing her new jacket. She stood completely still she would not move at all. Jon picked her up and she laid on him. You could almost hear her pleading him to take off the jacket. But doesn't she look adorable?

Mac's Pharmacy Christmas party

Mac had the Christmas party for the Pharmacy employees at Calhoun's on the River. We had the corner room so you could see all the lights of the city. It was beautiful. This is Mac trying to figure out what his gift was. At first he thought it was just a card. He finally figured out that it was a donation in his name to his favorite charity - St. Jude's Hospital.

On Thanksgiving Day Jon, Ember, and I walked over to visit with Mary and Chris and their two dogs Sugar and Miranda. Ember was a little scared at first but then she put on her best big dog face and made some new friends. She and Miranda really got along. Hopefully we will all get to spend some more time together over the Christmas break.

We added a new member to the family today. I am totally in love. Her new name is Ember although it will take a little while to get her used to it. She has only been with us for a couple of hours and it already feels so natural. I might have to skip work next week.

Game Night

We hosted our first game night in the new house. At one point we were afraid we might have about 15 people. By the end we had 6. We had a great time anyway. We always have fun with our new friends Beth and Adam. Bobby was there keeping us laughing of course, and Max showed up long enough to beat Jon a guitar hero once. (She was on medium and Jon was on expert, I would be in trouble for not mentioning that). The girls won at Cranium (of course), and Jon built a nice fire in the new fire pit. Thanks David.

Chloe's 3th B-day

I don't know how but she gets more beautiful every year. This was a fun one. You could tell she really got it this year. She loved just being in the room with all of her presents. My favorite quote was when she did not want one of her presents put to the side she turned to Lori and said "No mommy, please". So Cute!! We had a great time, can't wait till Christmas.

If she blows out the candles twice she will be a teenager before we know it. Thanks for a great day Lori and Vanda.

Here is the reason I am starting the blog. I have been hooked on my friend Lindsay's blog for awhile I am always amazed at what she is doing on hers. I have a feeling that mine will never compare but she is teaching me from hundreds of miles away. I will try to make her proud. Here is the condo that we have lived and have been trying to buy since the end of May. I never thought I would be so concerned with the economy. This has been a very difficult process but we do love the place.

Pay no attention to the lack of furniture and the folding chairs. We will get there eventually.
